Kate Stewart

kate talbot portraitKate grew up in southern Virginia surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains.  As much as she could be she was outside in the woods climbing trees.  If she was inside she was reading or creating art out of everyday things.  Kate was the neighborhood mediator, advocate, and organizer always coming up with a new game or activity to play.  She often wrote, organized, directed, and sold tickets to the neighborhood plays in which she and her friends performed.
Kate spent time many summers visiting her grandparents in Saint Petersburg, Florida and moved to this area in the early 90’s.  Kate has a BA in Sociology and had planned to pursue a career in Social Work.  After working for a state agency for several years, she realized this approach to helping kept them locked in their mind and out of their heart.  Kate was also facing multiple health issues which traditional methods were unable to address.  These two things spurred 16 years of study, exploration, and training in healing and spiritual arts.  Healthy now, and having many trainings and jobs in the arena of natural health, emotional health, and spiritual health, Kate finally realized that at heart she was a coach and facilitator.  Her dream was to create a coaching and facilitation company that utilized the wisdom collected over the years; to help others heal and reach their full potential in playful, fun, and creative ways; to realize that they really can have and create the life they desire.

Co-owner of DrumQuest, Kate combines her “Southern hospitality”, “Mid-West work ethic,” and “New Yorker pace" to deliver a no-nonsense creative approach to  coaching and facilitation.  As a holistic coach, she encourages clients ‘to dare’ to live a life unlimited.  Kate adds facilitation in teambuilding and HealthRHYTHMS® to passionately promote self-healing and self-discovery via creative expression and group empowerment programs.

Kate is certified in Life Coaching and Radical Forgiveness®, is a trained Remo HealthRHYTHMS facilitator, motivational speaker, as well as tree climbing and ropes course facilitator.

In recognizing the “Divine”  within, Kate takes the gravity out of emotional concerns, as she employs her keen sense of humor, genuine compassion and unique gift to focus in on the best course of action leading to transformation .

“The first thing I noticed about Jim and Kate is a spirit of fun.  Then I noticed their patience... extraordinary patience and presence with each person with whom they were involved with at the moment—and that is a gift that I believe is very healing.”  —Mary Lenholt, Nurse & Energy Practitioner

“The drum workshop was fantastic fun. The artistic expression combined with the spirit of all the people was exciting and inspirational.  Thanks so much!” Tami King, CEO Technically Speaking
